The surveyor

A survey is only as good as the surveyor who walks the building.

I’m Adam. I’ve spent fifteen years looking at houses across South Yorkshire, Bassetlaw and north Nottinghamshire — surveying them, valuing them, and working out why they go wrong.

I set up Apricot to do this work properly: fewer jobs a week, more time on site, and a report written for the person buying the house rather than for a filing cabinet.

Every inspection is carried out by me and every report is written by me. Our office handles the calls and emails, so enquiries get answered quickly and I am on site rather than stuck at a desk.

Areas covered

South Yorkshire, Bassetlaw, and a fair way past both.

I’m based between Worksop and Retford, so most of the houses I survey are within half an hour of me. That is the point: I can get there quickly, and I know what the local housing stock does — the colliery terraces, the estate builds, the stone cottages that have been extended three times.

Also Harworth & Bircotes, Blyth, Tuxford, Ollerton, Bawtry, Misterton and the villages in between — across South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. Further afield is usually fine, just ask.
